MEET ANDREW
Born and raised on John’s Island, Andrew Swift brings more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry to Swifts Garage.
Starting at an early age in stock car racing throughout the southeast, he transitioned into a highly respected expert in the field of automotive repair.
Andrew has been awarded the General Motors Mark of Excellence Award six times. He was named McElveen Automotive Group’s employee of the year three times. Andrew currently holds multiple top certifications from the collision Industry highest standard, I-CAR, including refinish repair, insurance estimating, hybrid vehicle repairs as well as many other areas of expertise. He also has ASE certifications for AC Repair, electronics, brakes and more.
Eager to set a new standard for auto repair and customer service in Charleston, Andrew acquired Joe’s Garage in 2017. Under his leadership, Mount Pleasant’s go-to-garage continues to develop a deeply loyal customer base and sterling reputation over the course of its two decade history.
In addition to operating Joe’s Garage, Andrew was the Operations Director for Mount Pleasant Collision Center until their recent acquisition.
Andrew realized an opportunity to better serve his Johns Island community with a one-stop-shop for all things automotive - a garage capable of offering everything from general auto repair to classic car restoration across all makes and models.
Swifts Garage, founded in 2020, is an all-things-auto shop aims to be the only place you ever need to take your vehicle by providing comprehensive expertise and professional service at a fair price.
In 2022, Joe's Garage joined the Swift Automotive Group as Swifts Mount Pleasant - same people you have come to know and trust with a fresh new look and deeper bench.
When Andrew is not in the shop, you will find him scooting around in his red 1960 Studebaker, catching a Clemson game or enjoying Lowcountry living with his wife, daughters and grandson, Merrick.

The glue that holds us together, Mary Helen supports Swifts Automotive Group as its Director of Community Relations.
Proud to be a part of and give back to our community, Swifts supports various charitable efforts throughout the Lowcountry including Barrier Island Little League of Johns Island, ECCO of Mount Pleasant, Wando High School Baseball, RJ’s Mission, Patriot Villas and many other local causes working hard to serve our neighbors and neighborhoods.

Area MANAGER
The man, the myth and the legend…
Hank joined the Swift family 5 short years ago as the General Manager for our Mount Pleasant location (formerly Joe’s Garage).
Hank brings an unparalleled level of knowledge and expertise to our Swifts customers with a career spanning more than four decades across multiple disciplines in the automotive industry.
An icon here at Swifts, Hank was recently promoted to Area Manager overseeing both low country locations.
